Nationally known as “The Trails State,” Michigan has more than 12,500 miles of state-designated trails for hikers, bikers, equestrians, ATV riders, and more. And there are hundreds more miles of local, county, and federal trails in the state. Michigan Trails Week is coming up fast, September 24-30, 2017, and if you’d like to take part in a hike during that week, or before or after, you should give serious consideration to one of the longest hiking trails in Michigan, the North Country Scenic Trail. In fact, upon completion, the NCT will be the longest continuous hiking trail in America, stretching nearly 4,600 miles!
