Building on the storied craftsmanship of their successful outerwear line, Vancouver-based manufacturer Westcomb introduced a new line of lightweight performance gear for warm weather activities.
Built from an impressive list of top branded fabrics, the new styles deliver performance, fit and comfort. The Spring 2014 collection includes lightweight merino wool tees and long sleeves, rain and wind shells, technical fleece, synthetic shirts, pants, capris and shorts. Technologies include SchoelllerDynamic, MAPP performance merino, SofiDry by Sofileta, Pertex Equilibrium and MitiTech.
“Our approach in creating the line was to think holistically about the materials, design elements and the needs of the end user in both performance and casual settings,” said Alan Yiu, president and lead designer at Westcomb. “The results reflect our values of creating active apparel with superior workmanship, fit and, ultimately, performance.”
Designed for use across sports, from the yoga studio to the local crag to the backcountry, the collection features eight new styles for women and six new styles for men. Available at retailers, the new designs complement the expansive line of mid- and outer-layer performance wear already available.
“With the recent expansion of our production facility and the growth of the brand expanding the line will further support our retailers,” continues Yiu. “We’re expecting a strong response from our devoted fans as well.”
