In a year of significant growth for the company, Mountain Khakis has hired leading Industry designer, Molly Urquhart, to further bolster the Product Development & Design team in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Urquhart brings over 11 years of experience to the design table. Her career in Industrial Design has been decorated with growth and recognition; from L.L. Bean where she seemingly touched all apparel divisions – men’s, women’s and children’s outerwear, sportswear and active apparel – to Orvis, where she completely overhauled the Trout Bum collection, and redeveloped their outerwear program.

“We’re thrilled to have yet another A-player join our team,” said MK co-founder & director of product development & design, Noah Robertson. “Molly’s experience and pedigree have made an immediate impression on our design course, and will further assert our position in the marketplace. We’ll continue to pursue a balance between all collections, and specifically grow the Women’s category with added energy and focus.”

According to Urquhart, “Mountain Khakis appealed to me as an opportunity in my career path to be a part of a youthful, dynamic brand and business; one where I can be an active member of the company versus a specific category. I’m most excited about making an impact on our women’s program. My knowledge of design and fit will bring added emphasis to this already exciting collection.”

An outdoor enthusiast with a passion for hiking with her dog, Urquhart is a perfect fit for MK’s mountain culture and curious spirit. “I’m excited that this east coast girl has an opportunity to live out west… to explore the Tetons while doing what I love: designing great product. I am livin’ my dream right now.”
