I was recently asked to shoot a theatrical style trailer for Kryptek after having lengthy discussions at the 2011 SHOT show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Butch Whiting, Kryptek’s CEO along with VP Josh Cleghorn asked if I’d like to demo their gear, shoot a web and end cap reel for Cabela’s as well as pro staff all in the same week! Excited at the opportunity I jumped in head first!  Soon a package arrived from Josh with their entire line up. With names like “Koldo Blockade Jacket”, “Alaios Armor Shirt” and ” Vidar Scout vest”  I was frothing at the mouth to put their gear to the test. Soon my son Walker, brother Al and I  hit the rugged Rocky Mountains to commence the filming of Kryptek’s new youtube video. What stood out right away was how well thought out their gear was. Pockets galore, brilliantly designed waterproof zippers, velcro cuffs, adjustable waist straps, ventilation zippers in the armpits and so much more. The backcountry hasn’t seen anything like this! Like a gladiator ready for battle their gear lives up to its hype! Butch tells me their new line up of apparel is scheduled for release exclusively at Cabela’
