Marinalife Hosts Third Annual Best Marinas Contest

For the third year, Marinalife is hosting its annual Best Marinas Contest. Online voting opened earlier this week and will run through October 31, 2012. Marinalife members and boaters are invited to vote for the Best Transient Marina and the marina with the Best Customer Service by visiting marinalife.com/marinacontest.

The annual Best Marinas Contest is a way for Marinalife to engage members while also recognizing marinas that contribute to positive boating experiences throughout the season. The mission of Marinalife is to bring the boating community together, and each year the Best Marinas Contest gives boaters a chance to vote for their favorite marina.

For two years in a row, the Nantucket Boat Basin in Nantucket, Massachusetts, was voted as the Best Transient Marina and this year tied with Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton, FL. Harbour Town Yacht Basin in Hilton Head, SC, was winner of the Best Customer Service award. This year’s winning marinas will be featured in the Winter 2012-2013 issue of Marinalife Magazine and will receive a marketing package valued at $2,000.

There are over 8,600 marinas in the Marinalife database that are all eligible to be selected as 2012 Best Marinas. These marinas cover the cruising areas of the U.S., Canada, Bahamas, Caribbean, and Central America and all boaters are encouraged to vote.

Marinalife is in its 12th year of providing comprehensive marina information and cruising solutions through innovative trip-planning tools such as Navigation Alerts and the Nautical Chartviewer, an online reservation system, marina recommendations, preferred dockage and fuel rates, and online features such as cruise itineraries, marina reviews and a fuel locator. The Best Marinas Contest is one more way that Marinalife connects the active boater with marinas and cruising services. Boaters can vote now until October 31 online at marinalife.com/marinacontest.
