    Stay at a West Virginia State Park on Valentine’s Day

    Tuesday, Feb. 14 is Valentine’s Day and Pipestem Resort and other West Virginia state parks are offering a sweet 50 percent off room rate to celebrate, according to Paul Redford, District Administrator with West Virginia’s state parks system.

    “Valentine’s Day is special like any holiday, anniversary or birthday. Regardless of what day the date falls on, you remember your Valentine,“ said Redford.

    Couples that can steal away for the evening will find Pipestem Resort and these other state parks offering 50 percent off room rates on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14:  Blackwater Falls,  Stonewall Resort,  North Bend State Park, Chief Logan Lodge and Cacapon Resort.

    For sweethearts looking for a nice evening meal without an overnight stay, state park restaurants are open year-round and are good choices on Feb. 14.  Chefs at Stonewall Resort, Tygart Lake, North Bend and Chief Logan Lodge have special menus planned and encourage reservations for a special sweetheart meal.
