Ben Avery Campgrounds Currently have Space for Arizona’s Outdoor Expo Visitors

Visitors to this year’s Arizona Game and Fish Department Outdoor Expo who wish to camp overnight are advised that space is available at the campgrounds at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility or the Ben Avery Clay Target Center.

“Normally our campgrounds are available only for our shooting customers, but we’ve opened them up this weekend to Expo visitors because of the event’s popularity,” said Ben Avery Range Manager Marty Fabritz.

The campground at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility has 96 sites. Fifty-four of them have water and electrical hookups, and the daily camping fee for these sites is $25. Forty-two have no utilities and are available for self-contained units or tent use, at a cost of $12 per day. All sites have charcoal grills, and the campground has three restrooms with showers, two group fire rings, and a dump station. Reservations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and can be requested using the online reservation system atwww.azgfd.gov/outdoor_recreation/CampGrounds.shtml (more information on the campgrounds is also available at that site).

The campground at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center has 102 full-service (water, electric, sewer) RV spaces, and the daily camping fee is $25. Reservations can be made on a first-come, first-served basis by calling (623) 434-8119. For more information on the Clay Target Center campground, visit www.azgfd.gov/ctc2/camping.html.
