Gregory to Attend GoPro Mountain Games in Colorado as Gear Town Expo Partner

Gregory, the world’s leading pack maker for over 35 years, will participate in the GoPro Mountain Games as a Gear Town Expo Partner. Held June 6-9 in Vail, Colorado, the event is the 12th installment of the country’s premier celebration of mountain sports, lifestyle, and music. Over 3,000 amateur and professional athletes and 50,000 spectators are expected to participate.

“The GoPro Mountain Games are a great opportunity to get in front of a broad segment of outdoor enthusiasts. We’re able to interact with and listen to a diverse group with varied interests and learn firsthand about their pack needs,” says Andy Yorkin, marketing manager at Gregory. “The Mountain Games are always a fun way to spend some time in a mountain environment with like-minded individuals.”

Gregory representatives will exhibit at the event’s “Gear Town” showcasing the brand and its products. Attendees can come by for a personalized pack fitting, to check out the newest products for trail running, hiking and mountain biking, or just to chat. Attendees can also enter a drawing for a chance to win their own Contour or Cairn (male/female) backpack, new for 2013.

At the GoPro Mountain Games, amateur and professional athletes from nine sports and 25 disciplines converge on the rivers and trails of Vail to compete for more than $100,000 in prize money. Sports at the festival include slopestyle, road and mountain biking, trail running, a half marathon, kayaking, rafting, stand-up-paddling, slacklining, rock climbing and fly-fishing. In addition to adventure sports, the festival includes the Outdoor Reels Film Series, Outside Adventure Film School and the Mountain Click photography competition.
