Polygiene, the world leader in odor control and freshness technologies, is proud to announce an expanding collaboration with Cotton Incorporated.
As the marketing and research company for U.S. cotton growers and importers, Cotton Incorporated offers its TransDRY technology to improve moisture management and accelerate dry-times for cotton fabrics in active, high-performance applications. TransDRY will now be available with the enhanced capabilities of Polygiene technology to inhibit the growth of odor causing bacteria.
Polygiene is a bluesign approved odor control treatment that can be applied to a range of textiles and surfaces. Polygiene’s silver-salt application is derived from recycled content (silver mostly from recycled electronics) and its use can reduce the need for frequent laundering, saving water and energy over the life cycle of apparel.
“Polygiene is a natural complement to our TransDRY moisture management technology for cotton fibers. Its performance in both field and lab tests is exceptional and only enhances the inherent benefits of cotton,” states David Earley, Sr. Director, Supply Chain Marketing, of Cotton Incorporated. “We believe clothing designers and consumers alike will see the benefits for everything from sports apparel to travel wear to daily items like button down shirts or even denim.”
Christian von Uthmann, Polygiene CEO, commented, “We are pleased to be working with Cotton Incorporated, whose global reach will help introduce the Polygiene technology and brand to mills, designers and consumers around the world. Consumers already know and love cotton, and their experience will only be enhanced by the combination of TransDRY and Polygiene technologies in their apparel.”
