    Award-winning K2 Boots Upgraded for 2014

All-Mountain and Freeride collections receive tech-based additions and added models.

Building upon the highly successful introduction of their ski boot line in 2013, K2 Skis returns with an expanded lineup of all-mountain and freeride boots for 2014/15. The All-Mountain philosophy that has shaped K2 for more than fifty years has led to an updated line of groundbreaking ski boots.

As the proven leader in ski innovation since 1962, K2 engineers started from the ground up and developed an entirely new boot designed specifically for all-mountain skiers, not a riveted design focused specifically on ski racing. This forward way of thinking guided the design team to create the innovative rivet-less E3 (Energy Efficiency Engineering) Philosophy.

The E3 Philosophy fuses three different concepts that allow the rivet-less boot to efficiently transfer internal energy to create an incredibly smooth load transfer:

    • Energy Interlock – K2’s rivet-free technology integrates the cuff and shell to deliver natural flex with dynamic performance.
    • PowerFuse SpYne – The over molded “Y” shaped design along the back of the boot adds lateral stiffness while providing fore/aft flex efficiency.
    • Fit Logix – The INTUITION liners found in every K2 boot provide a customized fit that eliminates all “dead space.” This ensures maximum power transmission   between the shell, liner and foot. With available 97, 100 and the new 102mm last offerings, there is the right fit for every skier.

K2’s revolutionary Pinnacle 130 and 110 return to the men’s Freeride collection, featuring the same award-winning design as last year, but with the addition of a wider, more durable third buckle. With Integrated Tech Fittings, Syncro Interlock walk-mode and INTUITION liners with Tour Flex Notches, skiers have the necessary tool to tackle remote peaks as well as frontside groomers. New to the Freeride line is the Pinnacle 100 – a 102mm lasted tour boot with replaceable DIN compatible rugged outsoles and a walk-mode. This boot is perfect for aspiring backcountry enthusiasts or those simply looking for a more comfortable way to get across a slippery parking lot.

The All-Mountain SpYne collection is comprised of seven different offerings over three models. The men’s SpYne 130, the flagship boot of the class, as well as the SpYne 110, a slightly softer model, are now available in three different last options (97, 100 and the new 102mm). The SpYne 90, a competitively priced boot designed with the recreational skier in mind, is available in a 102mm last and now comes with an INTUITION CushFit liner and replaceable outsoles.
