During a day of surfing, Mathew Stanley was greeted by more than just perfect waves. While out on the water with a friend, a baby seal dropped by and immediately showed an interest in their boards. Without hesitation, the seal attempts to climb on top of both boards.

“Me and my friend Andrew Flounders were out enjoying some summer waves when this little guy came along and scared the hell out of Andy because we didn’t know what it was. It nudged his foot from underneath,” said Stanley, according to the video’s description.

The seal hung around for about an hour to play and even followed the surfers back to shore. “When we got home Andy rang the local marine wildlife authority to make them aware of what occurred just in case the seal was unwell,” Stanley continued. “He didn’t seem unwell when he was surfing in like a pro!”
