How KoffeePress Works: The heart of the KoffeePress is the Beverage Cassette, a piston-like container that holds a K-Cup® capsule. When a K-Cup® is inserted into the Beverage Cassette, the bottom of the K-Cup® is punctured with a stainless-steel out-tube, and then punctured again on top by an in-flow tube when the cap is put on. Next, the Beverage Cassette is placed in the double-wall mug and pushed through hot or cold liquid. As the cassette moves down into the mug, the liquid flows through the K-Cup® and is stored, ready to drink from the mug. The brewed coffee, tea, broth or juice can be sipped directly from the mug, or poured into another vessel. To clean the KoffeePress, simply pull out the beverage cassette, remove the cap and remove the used K-Cup.
