With over 17 inches of snow falling in Breckenridge over the past two days, Breckenridge Ski Resort is reminding skiers and riders the season isn’t over just yet.  The resort announced in March it is extending its ski season two additional weekends in April as a culmination of Breck’s 50 Wishes campaign.  The resort has been granting wishes all season to celebrate the ski area’s 50^th anniversary season, fulfilling experiences of a lifetime submitted by guests from around the world.

Breckenridge will open lifts and terrain at Peak 8 only, including the Imperial Express SuperChair, two additional weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 20-22 and April 27-29, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day. In addition, the resort will have a special 50^th season extension day ticket price of $50 for those without passes and free parking in the gondola lots.

“This is a great way to end our 50^th anniversary season,” said Pat Campbell, Breck’s SVP & COO. “April is typically one of the snowiest months of the season and we have great spring conditions which we expect to last through the end of April. This is an opportunity for our season pass holders and skiers from around the world to take advantage of a few extra days, and enjoy more of the spring skiing we all love here in Breck.”

Additional services for Breck’s guests during the extension include special lesson prices, with half-day adult lessons starting at $59 and full-day children’s lessons for $99.  Breck Sports is also offering 50% off rentals at the Peak 8 location.
