Easton Mountain Products is pleased to announce the recognition of the Kilo 3P tent by Outside Magazine with a Gear of the Year Award. Announced in Spring Buyers Guide 2012, the three-person, three-pound, three-season tent has been touted as lightweight, sturdy and roomy.
The Outside Magazine Gear of the Year Award recognizes top gear contributions from the outdoor industry in numerous categories. The Easton Kilo 3P was singled out among all new tents for its innovative performance without compromise. This is the second Outside Magazine Gear of the Year Award for Easton Mountain Products in less than three years, with the Easton Artica Backcountry snowshoe winning in 2009.
“We are so thrilled to accept this award for our Kilo 3P. Easton Mountain Products is a young division of our family-owned company, and Outside Magazine has really embraced our products as a good fit for its readers,” says Easton Mountain Products Marketing Manager Rich Packer. “As part of the ultra light Kilo tent family, the Kilo 3P is a great solution for families and ultra-light camping enthusiasts alike. We’re happy to have that recognized by the leader in outdoor media.”
“Picking this year’s winner was pretty easy,” said Outside Magazine Buyer’s Guide editor Sam Moulton. “Easton’s Kilo 3P pulls off a rare trifecta: it’s extremely light, impressively sturdy, and somehow still remarkably roomy inside.”
