    May 25            Snow Canyon State Park – Ivins

    Lava Tube Hike: Join us at 11:30 a.m., for a two-mile, roundtrip hike and the chance to explore the unique formations of a lava tube. Space is limited and registration is required. 435-628-2255

    May 26 – August 31  Hyrum State Park – Hyrum

    Hyrum State Park Fishing Challenge: Hyrum Reservoir will be stocked with 300 tagged fish redeemable for prizes donated by Cache Valley businesses. State fishing laws apply and a valid fishing license is required.  435-245-6866

    May 26            Antelope Island State Park – Syracuse

    Deserts Are Not Deserted: The word desert comes from the word deserted. The truth, however, is that this land abounds with plants and animals specifically adapted to this harsher environment. Meet the park naturalist at 10 a.m., in the visitor center parking lot for an easy one-hour hike to explore and discuss the many wonders of this desert island. 801-721-9569

    Junior Ranger Program: Antelope Island is home to many different plants and animals that depend on this land for survival. Meet at 1p.m., at the visitor center amphitheater to learn who lives here and how and where do they live. This program is designed for children age’s six to 12, but everyone is invited. 801-721-9569

    May 26 – 28    Camp Floyd/Stagecoach Inn State Park and Museum – Fairfield

    Civil War Encampment: Visitors experience camp life and participate in several activities performed by soldiers of Johnston’s Army. Events include reenactments, encampments, storytelling, stagecoach rides, firearm and cannon demonstrations, marches, drills, 1861 period games, and photos in period uniform. 801-768-8932
