    Colorado’s Barr Lake State Park Offers a Winter Wonderland With a Lighted Trail and Chili Cook-Off

    Brighton, CO  – Please mark your calendars for the Holiday Trail and Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Dec.17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Meet at the Barr Lake Nature Center for a short hike to celebrate the wonders of winter on our lighted bridge and the Neidrach Trail. Other fun activities will include roasting chestnuts, caroling and kids’ crafts. Bring your favorite chili for the chili cook-off to benefit Friends of Barr Lake. Come hungry and bring $5 to register your dish and/or $1 for a bottomless bowl to sample! An annual or daily pass is required to enter the park, but the other activities are free.
