Renowned climbing and outdoor apparel company combats market concerns with “Pass It On Savings” on select styles that include new and top sellers
Several new and signature Gramicci products will be available to retailers at a 20-25 percent discount under the company’s new Fall 2012 “Pass It On Savings” price structure, to be unveiled at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2012.
In a move to eliminate emerging retailer concerns about the fluctuating economy, every Gramicci product classification will have a Pass It On Savings item or items, intended to be an extremely persuasive product for retail buyers.
“Apparel sales become even more important as dealers address uncertain economic times. The prolonged after effects of bank and big business bailouts, excess foreclosures hitting the market, lenders ongoing reluctance to loan and it being an election year, all mean we will have a consumer reluctant to spend,” said Marty Weening, president of Gramicci. “To that end, we’ve secured new partnerships that help us maintain the quality our customers expect, at record setting price points, that we can ‘pass on’ to our retailers and the end consumer.”
The Pass It On Savings pricing program comes after a year of across-the-board price increases in labor, raw materials and freight. Generally, these increases in part, have been passed on to outdoor retailers and consumers nearly 7.5 percent increase since 2009.*
Leveraging its recent association with Haggar Corporation, Gramicci will be able to provide this new pricing without sacrificing quality or sustainable practices. The Pass It On Savings price structure will include Classic G Series styles as well as new launch designs.
Examples of Pass It On Savings include:
- Iconic G-Climbing pant in its signature Dourada fabric: New MSRP $46 (down from $58)
- The Rockin Sport Climbing Pant: New MSRP $48 (down from $62)
- The Dourada Guide Pant: New MSRP $48 (down from $60)
- The Mountain Jean in signature Buckeye Canvas: New MSRP $50 (from $62)
“We strive to be students of our consumer, recognizing their needs and their financial limitations,” continued Weening. “With our new Pass It On Savings, we aim to give the customer what they need, at values that significantly exceed their expectations.”
Pass It On Savings begins Dec 20, 2011 with Fall 2012 line release. Retailers can get more information about the Pass It On Savings initiative by visiting the Gramicci Outdoor Retailer Winter Market booth #9001, visiting with a Gramicci Rep or calling 800.415.5000 extension 233.
