Marker unveiled yet another leap forward in binding technology at the Outdoor Retailer show in Utah this morning, with the introduction of the new Duke EPF.

After five years, Marker’s Royal Family bindings have become synonymous with freeskiing. Marker is the only binding supplier that offers products for any mountain at any time, with industry leading products spanning the big mountain freeskiing, sidecountry, alpine touring, racing, sport/performance, rental, and junior categories.

The Duke was the first binding ever to address the proliferation of wider ski widths, with a technology called Power Width Design, not to mention the first to ever create the ability to ski the sidecountry with the security of a 16 DIN freeskiing-specific binding for the descent.

After years of watching ski widths continuing to get wider, Marker decided it was necessary for big mountain skiers to have even more power trasmission. The12/13 Duke features Marker’s new Extended Power Frame (EPF) chassis, 28% wider than the original Power Width interface.

Marker has also completely updated the toe and heel with a new, sleeker look that saves weight and improves the cosmetic appearance. For the top-end sidecountry skier, the bar is re-set once again.
