Five Ten Steps Up to Benefactor Partner with Two Scholarships

The AMGA is pleased to announce that Five Ten, Brand of the Brave and makers of some of the finest outdoor sports footwear available, has increased their support of the organization by becoming the AMGA’s sixth Benefactor Partner. Five Ten’s increased support will go towards sponsoring two, partial-tuition scholarships in 2012. The first being the Five Ten Scholarship ($1000), and the second the Five Ten Randal Grandstaff Memorial Scholaship ($1000) in memory of the former AMGA Board Member and AMGA Certified Rock & Alpine Guide. Candidates who applied for a scholarship in the Rock or Alpine discipline in 2012 will be added to the running for both Five Ten Scholarships.

As a Benefactor Partner, Five Ten is making a direct impact on AMGA members and the guiding community at large. Additionally, Five Ten supports the AMGA Annual Meeting as a Presenting Sponsor, allowing us to host a top-notch, free, educational event for our members.

“I am honored to welcome Five Ten as our newest Benefactor Partner,” says Betsy Winter, Executive Director. “Five Ten has been a longstanding partner of our organization and this increased support highlights the company’s steadfast commitment to the mountain guiding and climbing instructor profession in the United States. We are proud to have them on board and are grateful for their continued support. “
