Brunswick Commercial and Government Products has delivered a 39′ rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Division of Law Enforcement (FWC). The 1200 Impact model features a climate controlled aluminum cabin and room for up to four crew members. The heavy-duty fiberglass hull is surrounded by an air-filled collar to reduce the risk of damage to the boat and property during routine boat checks and docking.
The boat will be stationed in South Florida where it will be used for patrolling offshore and Intracoastal areas, fisheries management, and general law enforcement activities. Colonel Jim Brown of the FWC said, “We worked closely with Brunswick sales on the plans and production of this vessel. It was specifically designed to meet our needs in our core mission areas of resource protection, public safety and boating and waterways. The boat’s features make it a valuable asset for search and rescue missions and enforcing federal fisheries regulations. It will be stationed in Jupiter, and the FWC officers assigned to it will work the entire southeast coast. They will focus on protecting Florida’s valuable natural resources in sensitive marine areas such as Oculina Bank and the St. Lucie Hump Marine Protected Area.”
