Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain held its annual season passholder party Saturday, February 11 at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel. The Grand Ballroom was filled to just under capacity with holders of the joint 2011/12 Attitash & Wildcat season pass and guests enjoyed complimentary food, beverage, lots of raffle door prizes, and a DJ & dancing. Skier and riders enjoyed the evening with friends and families and got to know other familiar faces or persons they’ve chatted with in the base lodge or on chairlifts. “The annual season passholder party is one of our bigger social events seasonally,” said Attitash Mountain Resort General Manager John Lowell. “But it has also been an annual event that raises funds for local organizations and allows us, and our passholders, to give back to the community that helps to support Attitash and Wildcat.
One of the highlights of the annual season passholder parties has been both the silent and live auctions to benefit local organizations. This year, specific donated items and services from both Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain were designated to benefit AbilityPLUS Inc., Bartlett Recreation Department, or the Berlin Recreation Department. Some of the items included vintage trail signs, season passes, one-of-a-kind framed panoramas and photography by Laura Tuveson, rides with our snow groomers, early morning skiing and pre-public lift privileges with the Attitash Mountain Resort General Manager or Wildcat Mountain General Manager, and custom-made ski & snowboard deck furniture donated by SkiChair.com.
Party attendees were ready to bid high and bid often on the many items and by the end of the evening, Attitash Mountain Resort and WildcatMountainseason passholders had raised a combined total of $6,445 in donations benefitting the three organizations. “There was a lively, and at times competitive, bidding atmosphere among our passholders,” noted Wildcat Mountain General Manager Josh Boyd. “The evening was great and the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel was the perfect venue and hosts for a party this size. As much fun as it was, it’s great to know that AbilityPLUS as well as Berlin & Bartlett Recreation Departments benefited as a result.”
