It is with deep regret that we must announce that Josh Harrod is stepping down as Membership Director of the AMGA. There are times in life when opportunities present themselves that simply cannot be passed up, and that is what happened for Josh. He recently accepted a management position with Tin Shed Sports; a new bicycle and backcountry ski focused shop in Nederland, Colorado.
While we are genuinely happy for Josh and his new endeavor, we are extremely sad to see him go. Josh came to the AMGA in 2009 with a background in marketing, consumer insights and market research. He applied those skills and so much more to help the AMGA Membership Department grow and mature. Not only that, but he was a real team player; an employee any organization would be lucky to have on board.
During his tenure at the AMGA, he contributed to a continued growth of the membership, an expanded Corporate Partner base, 3 Annual Meetings – including the unforgettable and hugely successful 2010 IFMGA Meeting, and an increased presence in the social media realm.
We truly appreciate and value the work Josh has done during his 2 ½ years at the AMGA. Thanks to Josh’s hard work and dedication to the AMGA, we are confident that the transition will be seamless, the new Membership Director will be set up for success and the AMGA will continue to thrive.
Please join us in thanking Josh for all that he has done for our organization and wish him the best of luck in his new venture.
Thank you Josh Harrod! You will be dearly missed by all of us at the AMGA.
