CHAOS is official Headwear Sponsor for the USSA Marriot Alpine J4 Rocky-Central Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Steamboat Springs, CO (March 16th, 2012) —This week Chaos Headwear will keep heads warm for talented young competitors at the USSA Marriot Alpine J4 Rocky-Central Championships March 15-17, 2010. The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is honored to be the host club. This event is a prestigious alpine ski race for the top 11-13 year-old athletes from USSA Rocky/Central Division which includes MN, MI, WI, CO, NM, and IL.
“We are thrilled to have a company with local interests participate in this very special event,” said Deb Armstrong, Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Alpine Competitive Program Director, two time Olympian and winner of the Gold in GS in the 1984 Olympics. “It’s this kind of dedication from the community that helps to build future champions.”
In existence for nearly a century, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club has enriched the lives of thousands of children and has sent 79 athletes to the Olympics engendering the phrase, Ski Town U.S.A.. Dedicated to the youth of its community, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is a place where the tradition of skiing is strong and where the legacy of encouraging children to be champions, both on the hill and off, is alive.
Chaos, which was originally founded in Steamboat Springs in1999, and has supported this event for the last two seasons. Gary Supple, US Sales Director of the company notes, “We are honored to be a part of the training ground for the next winter Olympic season in Sochi, Russia 2014. These athletes work hard year round to condition and train in order to qualify for the events and are at the top of their sport.”
The events start with Super G race today, Giant Slalom on Friday, and Slalom on Saturday.
