Taking their collaboration further, OceanView Technologies’ new Astra and SeaWatch lines of night-vision cameras are fully integrated with Furuno’s new NavNet TZtouch navigation system. OceanView’s Apollo II thermal camera was integrated with Furuno NavNet 3D last year. This relationship provides a seamless, complete way for yacht owners to control their OceanView camera’s functions, including pan, tilt and zoom through the Furuno system.
“OceanView continues to manufacture and develop night-vision cameras of a high caliber,” said Dean Kurutz, Furuno marketing manager. “We successfully collaborated with them in the past and we’ll continue to integrate their products with our latest technologies.”
Furuno’s new NavNet TZtouch platform pairs the company’s TimeZero technology with the industry’s first multi-touch, multi-function display. TZtouch features pinch-to-zoom capability, two-finger course rotation and other multi- and single-touch gestures for the most intuitive user-interface on the market.
Offering a modern, low-profile gimbal design and a simple-to-operate joystick/pushbutton controller, OceanView’s Astra series cameras are available in Multi-Purpose, Thermal and Thermal HD versions. The SeaWatch camera is a combination low-lux/color camera with an infrared illuminator. It automatically switches from color to low-lux as lighting conditions change.
