    August 31       Antelope Island State Park – Syracuse

    Blue Moon Hike: Join us at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridger Bay Campground Trailhead (near site #8) for a two-mile round trip hike around Buffalo Point under the light of the full moon. We’ll talk about why it’s called a Blue Moon, discuss moon phases and other nighttime topics. 801-721-9569

    September 1  Antelope Island State Park – Syracuse

    Junior Ranger Program-How They Worked: Join us at the Fielding Garr Ranch at 10 a.m. for a fun-filled experience learning about how the people of Antelope Island worked. From 11 a.m. to noon, stop by Bridger Bay Beach to visit with a park interpreter about lake life and other fun facts. Microscopes will be on hand for viewing and discovering lake wonders. 801-721-9569

    September 1 and 3    Camp Floyd State Park and Museum – Fairfield

    Camp Floyd Days: Camp Floyd State Park, in conjunction with the Utah Territorial Civilian Commission and Utah Civil War Association, host a Civil War Encampment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event allows visitors to experience camp life and participate in activities performed by soldiers of Johnston’s Army including reenactments, encampments, storytelling, stagecoach rides, firearm and cannon demonstrations, marches, drills, and 1861 period games. Entrance fees are $2 per person or $6 per family. Food concession and stagecoach rides are available for purchase. 801-768-8932

    September 1 – 23      Wasatch Mountain State Park – Midway

    Apple Harvest: Bring your family to the historic Huber Grove apple orchard to pick your own apples.  Due to the popularity of this activity, reservations are required. To secure your two-hour time slot, please call. A $12 fee is required at the time of your reservation. 435-654-1791
