This year’s Ponca State Park Valentine’s Day package includes special discounts on lodging and an opportunity to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count Feb. 14-16.

Valentine’s Day coincides with the Great Backyard Bird Count this year, and the park is offering a 30 percent discount on lodging. Reservations for one or two night stays include breakfast, guided bird tours, firewood, all-ages educational programs, birding information, and a complimentary bottle of wine or juice. Souvenir glasses and extra firewood are provided for the two night stay. Bird feeders and binoculars will be located at each mini-lodge.

The four bedroom mini-lodges include queen beds and vanity bath in each bedroom, two full bathrooms, fireplace, dining table, fully equipped kitchen, 42-inch television, wireless internet, and linen and towel service. Each mini-lodge has a large deck, gas grill, fire pit and picnic table. Pets are welcome.
