Chatfield State Park DOLA Day Volunteer Cleanup in Colorado

Spinney Mountain State Park | ActionHub

Chatfield State Park will host the second annual Dog Off Leash Area (DOLA) Volunteer Cleanup day on Saturday April 27, 2013.  This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the DOLA and meet with rangers and visitors who frequent the area.

Clean up begins at 1 p.m. in the Owl Glenn parking area.  To participate, register on site or apply to be a volunteer by visiting the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website at http://wildlife.state.co.us/Volunteer, or by contacting the volunteer coordinator at Chatfield State Park at 303-791-7275.

Chatfield’s DOLA provides 69 acres of open space for dogs to exercise on, including two ponds and miles of paved and unpaved walking trails.  Dogs must be under voice control when off leash, and visitors must remember to bring a leash and waste bag for each dog.  There is a limit of 3 dogs per handler.  In addition to a valid Park Pass required for every vehicle entering the park, a valid Dog Off-Leash Area (DOLA) Daily OR Annual pass is required for the use of the area.  Both the $2 Daily DOLA Pass and the $20 Annual DOLA Pass are available at the Entrance Stations and the Park Office when staffed. $2 Daily Self-Service DOLA Passes are also available at the Owl Glenn and Steven’s Grove Parking Areas.  Please bring exact change or check.
