Drift Innovation Sponsors Vail Beaver Creek Mountain Bike Race Series in Colorado

A few distinguishable threads that run through cycling clans around the world are community, friendship, and camaraderie. Today, Drift Innovation, manufacturer of high-quality action cameras, extends its commitment and support of its local bike community by sponsoring the Vail Beaver Creek Mountain Bike Race Series. As the official action camera of the Colorado event, Drift will capture the series’ seven mountain bike races using their new HD Ghost actioncamera for participants, among other contributions.

“We understand the tight bonds cyclists have with each other and their communities, and Drift wants to echo those sentiments by continuing to support local events to help grow the sport in our own backyard,” said John Rounds, CEO Drift Innovation Inc (Americas).

With 26 divisions open for mountain bikers of all ages and skill levels, the Vail Beaver Creek Mountain Bike Race Series attracts 2,000 competitors from around the area during its seven races. Participants race on world-class terrain in locations around the Vail Valley including Eagle Ranch, Edwards, Red Cliff, Beaver Creek, West Vail, and Vail Mountain. Awards include $5,200 in cash and $30,000 in prizes. Drift is also looking forward to engaging with local racers on product education and user feedback.

“This race series is great not only for its sense of community, but also because anyone can come out and race against others of similar skill level and have fun doing it,” said Series Director Beth Pappas. “With Drift onboard helping support the series and the Vail Valley, we can now offer racers HD footage from every race.”

Drift joins Bud Light, 1st Bank, Vail Ski Resorts, Under Armor, and other companies as a sponsor. The first race is May 29 with the Eagle Ranch Classic.
