    Boa Technology to Help Outdoor Retailer Attendees “Get Closure”

    On-site Boa specialists will retrofit attendees’ shoes with the Boa Closure System

    Boa Technology Inc., maker of the patented, award-winning Boa Closure System, is giving attendees of this month’s Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (OR) an opportunity to “Get Closure” by installing complimentary Boa Closure Systems on their traditional lace-up shoes. This industry-only offer allows anyone attending OR to experience the performance and comfort benefits of the Boa Closure System’s light weight, dialed-in fit.

    “We’re confident that once people experience the convenience, durability and great fit that the Boa Closure System provides, they’ll seek out Boa-powered products from our many brand partners,” says Mark Soderberg, Boa Technology CEO. “The Boa Closure System is a highly customizable system of cables, guides and tension-adjusting dials that can be applied to almost any type of footwear. In the interest of efficiency, however, this offer is limited to low-cut athletic or casual lifestyle shoes with traditional laces.”

    During the first three days of the OR show (July 31 – August 2), attendees can drop off their traditional lace-up shoes (sorry, no kids’ shoes) at the Boa Technology tent located outside the south entrance of the Salt Palace, where Boa’s team of prototypers will install the Boa Closure System. Later in the day, after receiving a photo text of their now Boa-powered footwear and message they are ready, attendees can pick up their shoes and start to experience first-hand Boa’s superior fit and performance.

    In anticipation of high demand for the offer, interested parties are encouraged to reserve a time slot in advance by emailing getclosure@boatechnology.com. Walk-ups will be accepted, but space will be limited. “We’re encouraging people to pack an extra pair of new or lightly-used shoes,” says Boa Marketing Director Garett Graubins. “Still, we’ll be prepared to take the shoes off people’s feet just to help them experience Boa.”

    The award-winning Boa Closure System is found on over 26 million products worldwide, produced with 140 different partner brands across seven product categories: cycling, athletic, outdoor, snow sports, golf, utility and medical. Outdoor Retailer exhibitors debuting new Boa-powered products at this summer’s OR show include Topo Athletic, Hobie Cat, Orvis, Vasque and Treksta.
