Stio, the Jackson Hole, Wyoming based lifestyle apparel brand, is pleased to introduce its new Fall/Winter 2013 apparel and accessories collection. After its successful launch last year, Stio’s sophomore collection continues the brand’s focus on a refined blend of function and fashion.
“Last year’s positive and immediate reaction to our brand proved we were on to something special with Stio,” says founder and CEO Stephen Sullivan. “This winter we’re continuing to grow the business and product range, with some beautiful and creative new apparel.”
A few highlights for this season include DownTek filled jackets, high performance wool, multi-purpose soft-shells and technical yarn dyed plaids that are perfect for any outing.
The Hometown Down Jacket for men, women and kids features Downtek water repellent goose down at an impressive 800-fill. DownTek is a proprietary nanotechnology treatment for down that makes it water repellent, anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. Even in the wettest of conditions, DownTek repels water while maintaining loft, insulation value and breathability. DownTek is free of both Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS). All three styles utilize a DWR finish, peripheral adjust helmet compatible hood, handwarmer pockets, adjustable hem with low pro cord locks and an interior pocket that doubles as a stuff sack.
A technical soft shell jacket, the Stio Vescent Jacket utilizes Sphero XT, a stretch woven soft shell exterior with bonded microfleece interior. The men and women’s Vescent is able to handle any high output activities while offering the right amount of protection from the elements. Hand and chest pockets, peripheral adjust hood, adjustable hem with low pro cordlocks and stretch-fleece inner cuffs round out the Vescent.
The sophisticated Woolsey Jacket, features Italian Pontetorto TecnoWool which combines the advantages of wool with the functional properties of synthetics. The inner layer of the jacket is a synthetic that helps transport the moisture to the bonded wool exterior with a DWR treatment to fend off wind and water.
The Men’s Kirby Wind Shirt has a 100% nylon custom yarn dye that helps with wicking, moisture control and wind resistance. It delivers a slight western homage with pearl snaps and a modified shirttail hem, as well as two chest pockets and an interior stash pocket.
