More than 150 dealers were given a preview look at Chaparral Boats much anticipated Vortex jet boat line at the company’s recent Advanced Sales Seminars in Valdosta, Georgia. In addition dealers were excited to experience their first test drives of the 203 Vortex.
Scheduled to debut at 15 boat shows in early 2014, the just christened 203 Vortex is the first entry in a three boat series that will also include the 223 Vortex and 243 Vortex.
Featuring bold new graphics, innovative flexible seating and the exciting time-tested Rotax jet drive propulsion, the 203 Vortex is versatile enough for both first time boaters and experienced boaters alike.
“The introduction of our Vortex jet boats gives us one of the most diverse and complete product lines in the marine industry” said Jim Lane, company President. We feel our partnership with Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), supplier of the Rotax engine, will be a winning combination in this fast growing segment.”
“We had high hopes for the new 203 Vortex and reaction from the dealer network exceeded all of our expectations,” said company founder Buck Pegg about the initial roll-out. We wanted to take the styling, quality and performance of the jet boat market up a notch and the 203 Vortex does just that.”
Reactions from the Chaparral dealer network signal an exciting introduction at upcoming boat shows: Our dealers were very vocal as evidenced by some of the comments after the 203 Vortex test drives.
“I had a chance to test the new Vortex jet boat and it was simply amazing.
Maneuverability was better that any jet boat I’ve driven with ride and handling to match. I feel that the Vortex line gives Chaparral a quality and performance edge that will dominate the jet boat market.” — Jim Marshall, Pride Marine Group.
“I was truly amazed by everything about the 203 Vortex. The styling is phenomenal, the boat has a wonderful layout with lots of storage and it performed very well on the water.” — Dave Briggs, Wayzata Marine.
“The new jet boat gives us an exciting product to enter into a growing market segment.” — Kurt Backus, Atlanta Marine.
“Chaparral’s Vortex jet boat raises the bar. When you compare the fit, finish, quality, and modern look of this boat to the market leaders in this segment, it’s like comparing an iPhone to a rotary phone…there’s not really a comparison at all. Chaparral did their homework and definitely got it right.” — Jim Barach, Hern Marine.
The 203 Vortex ….Coming to major boat shows beginning January, 2014.
