Indulge in the New Premium Collection from Ocean Minded

    Men's Premium Mokulua Sandal

As a leading designer and manufacturer of quality footwear, Ocean Minded is excited to release the limited-edition Premium Collection for Spring. As part of the brand’s philosophy of going back to their roots and celebrating their heritage, they’ve teamed up with The Sandalman, a small, family-owned footwear company in Newport Beach, Calif., to refresh two time-honored Ocean Minded™ sandals.

“There’s been a recent resurgence of ‘Made in the USA’ products and this collaborative relationship combines the best of both companies. We’ve taken our original Makena and Mokulua sandals, and updated them here in California with premium materials using the Sandalman’s handcrafted techniques,” said Ocean Minded™ General Manager, Steve Workman.  “We have ended up producing high-quality, luxurious sandals that offer complete comfort from heel to toe,” Workman continued.

The collection will debut with the women’s Makena sandal (MSRP $130) and the men’s Mokulua sandal (MSRP $150). Both styles feature premium full-grain leather straps, toe posts and footbeds, along with a die-cut sponge SBR foam midsole.  The Sandalman constructed each sandal by hand in their Newport Beach facility and every pair is made from US components, with the exception of the outsole and woven label.

“The sandals that we make are California by nature,” stated Scott Strader, who co-founded The Sandalman in 1976. “We simply create, by hand, the product that we sell and give it special, personal involvement.  Making these two sandals for Ocean Minded has been satisfying for us and we’re thankful for the opportunity to expose our product to a larger market,” Strader concluded.

The Ocean Minded Premium Collection is now available online at www.oceanminded.com and at preferred retailers, including select Birkenstock of San Diego and Flip Flop Shops locations, Dive n’ Surf, Kona Sports, Farias Surf & Sport, Surf Station, and Zappos.com.
