Action camera brand Insta360 has unveiled its latest camera, the Insta360 X4. This new camera boasts 360-degree video in 8K resolution and frame rates of 5.7K60fps and 4K100fps.

Insta360’s X4 has Voice and Gesture Control for hands-free operation. Additionally, the camera features improved battery performance over previous Insta360 models, with up to a 135-minute run time, to ensure extended shooting sessions without interruption.

The X4 can function as both a 360-degree camera and a traditional action camera. In 360-degree mode, the camera captures immersive footage with resolutions of up to 8K, allowing creators to reframe shots after filming. Furthermore, the camera’s Single-Lens Mode should offer smooth, ultra-wide 4K60fps recording for traditional action shots.

As we expect from an action cam that might hit the dirt every now and again, the X4 has a removable lens guard and waterproofing rated to 33 feet. A waterproof case (sold separately) is available for those who want to take it diving that’s rated to 164 feet.
