Zwift, the global online fitness platform, has announced the launch of Zwift Ride, a new indoor cycling setup designed to make Zwifting more convenient and accessible. Zwift Ride pairs a Zwift Smart Frame with a Smart Trainer, offering a shareable bike for indoor riding. Priced at $1,299, Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE will be available in the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia.
Zwift CEO and Co-Founder Eric Min stated, “We’re on a mission to make Zwifting easier by reducing the cost and complexity of hardware. Zwift Ride brings all of the advantages of a smart bike at an incredibly affordable price. It’s clean, quiet, simple to set up and adjust, and can be shared with any member of the household. I’ve been riding mine for many months and can’t wait to share the experience with other Zwifters!”
Zwift Ride emphasizes simplicity in its design. The included ‘Frame Key’ is the only tool required for assembly and adjustments. It is stored in the top tube for easy access, allowing users to adjust the saddle height, bar height, and reach. The setup accommodates riders from 5ft (152cm) to 6ft 6 inches (198 cm), with an included fit card to assist in finding the correct fit.
The bike features integrated handlebars with dual control pads, enabling users to navigate menus, give RideOns, and deploy PowerUps. Additional buttons at the base of the levers can be configured in the game for extra shortcuts. The virtual shifting is silent and precise, with gears suitable for all Zwift terrains. Users can choose between Shimano, SRAM, or sequential shifting styles.
Zwift Ride includes practical features such as two bottle cages designed for indoor riding and a front tray for essentials like food, towels, and phones. The tray has a removable, non-slip rubber cover for easy cleaning. An optional tablet holder, priced at $49.99, is available for iOS or Android tablet users.
Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE will begin shipping on June 26. Interested customers can register on Zwift.com.
