Insta360 has announced a new addition to its GO camera series: the Insta360 GO 3S. The new model retains the compact form factor of the GO 3 while introducing several upgrades, including 4K video resolution.

The GO 3S features a rugged, magnetic body that weighs 1.4oz (39g). This allows users to wear it for hands-free, first-person point-of-view shots or mount it with included accessories. The camera is suitable for various activities, from traveling to outdoor sports, offering a way to capture moments without distraction.

The camera’s 4K30fps capture significantly improves image quality over its predecessor, producing sharper and clearer videos. It is powered by an enhanced chip with 50% more CPU computing power and a new wide-angle lens, doubling the pixel count compared to the previous 2.7K resolution.

The GO 3S includes features such as the new MegaView field of view for a more realistic look, Dolby Vision-Ready for greater dynamic range, and slow-motion upgrades with up to 200fps at 1080p or 100fps at 2.7K.

The Interval Video mode allows automatic hands-free shooting, capturing moments throughout the day without manual operation. The new Instant App Preview for iOS sends notifications to the user’s phone when shooting is complete and ready for editing. The Insta360 app’s Auto Edit function uses AI to combine clips into one video.

The camera also supports hands-free POV and creative mounting options. It includes accessories such as the Action Pod, which acts as a housing, remote control, and charger and has a 2.2″ flip touchscreen for shot preview.

Additional upgrades for the GO 3S include compatibility with the Apple Find My network, Easy Switch for changing the aspect ratio, waterproofing up to 33ft, and AI Gesture Control for hands-free operation.

The camera comes with several accessories, including the Magnet Pendant, Easy Clip, Pivot Stand, and Lens Guard. The new Quick Reader accessory allows for rapid backup and direct editing on a phone without downloading files.

The Insta360 GO 3S has two storage options, 64GB and 128GB, priced at $399.99 and $429.99, respectively. It is available in Arctic White and Midnight Black. For GO 3 users, the GO 3S can be purchased as a standalone camera for $239.99 or $269.99.

The GO 3S is available for purchase on Insta360’s websiteAmazon, and select authorized retailers.
