Princeton Tec Sponsors 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell Climbing Event

Princeton Tec, the market leader of U.S. manufactured headlamps and handheld lights for the outdoor, bike, tactical, industrial, and SCUBA industries, is lighting up the endurance rock climbing competition 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell (24HHH). As an event sponsor, Princeton Tec will be staging an arsenal of powerful lighting products to illuminate the competition at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Jasper, Ark. from Sept. 24-28.

“The people that gather for the 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell are core climbers and outdoor enthusiasts that demand the best from their products, and we’re excited to be involved and offer our test-proven lights,” said Dave Cozzone, Princeton Tec’s Vice President. “Supporting such a popular, grueling event by supplying long-lasting light for climbers to compete is a great opportunity for us to showoff new products, mingle with the crowd, and celebrate the climbing lifestyle.”

Not for the weak, 24HHH will test the strength – both mentally and physically – of amateur and professional athletes. The overall challenge is to cleanly lead a route for points, and then continue to do so in succession for 24 hours straight. Teams will be comprised of two members who are responsible for everything from start to finish: belaying, scoring, carrying their own gear, and more.

Princeton Tec products will be used specifically to cast light on the entire venue of the bouldering competition throughout the night. An assortment of the all-new Sector 5 handheld and powerful headlamps will be used to help guide climbers on the rock. Princeton Tec will also have a booth at the event where they will be showcasing new products, barbecuing, and enjoying the environment.

“Princeton Tec is an instrumental part of 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell this year,” said Andy Chasteen, Director and Founder of 24HHH. “PTec is not only lighting up the bouldering problems for the Bouldering Under the Lights competition, but they are also lighting the way for all of our volunteers.”

Event organizers and volunteers will receive a sleek headlamp from Princeton Tec’s Spectrum custom program. This program instills creativity and enables users to create a custom headlamp using a 10-color palette to build an ideal, customized light for the event.
