Allied Feather & Down, the leading supplier and processor of down in the outdoor and apparel industry, is proud to announce its partnership with polar explorer, educator and expedition guide, Eric Larsen. He has spent the past 20 years traveling to some of the most remote and wild places left on earth and has set multiple world records, including his achievement as the first person in history to reach the world’s three ‘poles’ within a 365-day period.

Allied will provide support for Eric Larsen’s expeditions and educational initiatives while Eric will offer field testing and feedback for Allied’s R&D department. Eric will utilize Allied down technologies in some of the coldest, most extreme and unforgiving climates on earth.

Through this partnership, Allied and Eric Larsen also hope to educate brands and consumers on the qualitative differences among down and on responsible sourcing. Down is an ingredient that can be greatly affected by variables and subtleties that exist throughout the supply chain from sourcing to processing. The duo will make it easier for stakeholders to know more about the down in their outerwear and bags- especially when it comes to survival.
