Hillsound Equipment- the leading producer of winter and fishing traction equipment and gaiters for urban and outdoor enthusiasts- is thrilled to announce team member Stevie Kremer’s recent top finish at the Limone Extreme Skyrace in Limone, Italy as part of the 2014 Skyrunner World Series. The second-place win helped Kremer clutch the title of 2014 Skyrunner World Series champion, an honor she has received two years in a row.
The Limone Extreme Skyrace took place on October 11, 2014 and had over 400 participants. The spectacular and grueling race covered 23.5k including 2,000 meters of vertical gain, traversing three mountains, Bocca dei Fortini (1,200 meters), Monte Traversole (1,441 meters), and Coma Vecchia (1,415 meters).
The following week, Kremer took home a first place win in the 35k Mourne Skyline Mountain Trail Race part of the UK Skyrunning Series. Taking place in the scenic mountains of Northern Ireland, racers started and finished in the seaside town of Newcastle, County Down, and covered 3,370m (11,057ft) of gradual assent.

Kremer is no stranger to success, as 2014 has been an exceptional year of race finishes for her. She broke a new course record in the 46K Matterhorn Ultraks race in a new course record along with her third win in the Skyrunner World Series SKY distance. She also took first place finishes at the Zegama-Aizkorri and Sierre-Zinal events.
