Making its debut as the snow starts to fall, OnTheSnow’s SKI & SNOW REPORT app has undergone a complete redesign—including new features and content—to enhance the experiences of millions of mountain travelers.
The free SKI & SNOW REPORT app, available for both iPhone and Android, has more than 3.7 million global downloads—including more than 1.7 million for North America alone.
“We see real value in improving the mobile experience for our visitors,” says Chad Dyer, OnTheSnow’s Chief Operating Officer. “Skiers and snowboarders demand high-performing mobile experiences as the amount of information they consume on mobile devices continues to rise. We feel this new release will exceed their expectations and raise the bar for snowsports mobile platforms.”
In addition to the complete redesign to improve user experience, the app also includes better cross-platform coverage with OnTheSnow.com for destination information, resort webcams and gear reviews. The app’s other popular features, such as customizable powder alerts, trail maps, resort profiles, and snowfall and weather data, have also received updates.
“Our top priority at OnTheSnow is delivering the most accurate real-time information directly to our skiing audience, especially on the go,” says Victor Roberto, OnTheSnow’s Managing Editor for North America. “Whether you’re a day-tripping powder hound, weekend warrior or holiday family traveler, we’ll help you experience your best ski season yet.”
The real-time snow data also allows OnTheSnow to deliver the world’s most up-to-date snow report information through its digital distribution network of 2,500 sites, which include Google, Bing and The Weather Channel.
