Climbers travel to some of the world’s most scenic places to try and overtake the steep landscapes they dream about at home. But each climber is at the mercy of the weather and must wait for ideal conditions before attempting an ascent. Tent Bound in Devil’s Bay is a brief documentary about that darker, slower side of climbing. This experience usually never gets more air-time other than the ubiquitous sentence, “we waited out the bad weather for the first few days…” following a successful climb.

They long for their homes and loved ones as they wait days for the weather to clear up at Devil’s Bay in Newfoundland. The documentary serves as a rarely-seen glimpse climbing’s less glorious side.
