Video: Camping the Pacific Crest Trail in Five Months

Intrepid campers Chris and Anna Alexander decided to create a photo log of their time on the Pacific Crest, a 2,663-mile long trail that runs through Washington, Oregon, and California. The purpose of the trip was–other than spending some time in the great outdoors–to test the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 tent, which performed admirably under the conditions.

The video below is a compilation staring mainly the tent, and sometimes Chris and Anna.

The Pacific Crest Trail was officially completed in 1993 and runs along the length of the west coast. The trail itself generally sticks to wilderness and extends through several national forests and parks. The couple took five months to thru-hike the trail and will be releasing their experiences in a photo book set to ship out later this February.

According to their blog, Chris and Anna left their desk jobs to in order to tackle the Pacific Crest and embrace outdoor living. Anna is now a writer and naturalist while Chris sticks to his photography. Together they try to raise awareness for the environment and have a little bit of fun while doing so.
